While in some cases the couple decides on one of the partners to conceive, in other situations they may both wish to conceive at different times. Both partners will have an initial consultation with one of our fertility specialists to discuss medical history, testing, treatment, and financial options. This will be followed by an evaluation of fertility potential through physical examination, ultrasound of the ovaries, and blood tests.

Subsequently, couples will meet with our Donor Sperm Coordinator. Our medical team will help guide you through this phase and ultimately, the couple chooses who the donor will be.

Once the sperm has arrived at our facility, inseminations can begin. Based on the patient’s age and fertility profile, we will advise her regarding the use of fertility drugs and in some cases, IVF to enhance her chances of birth.

Gay men who would like to have a child using a gestational carrier can achieve that through our Center. At this time, New York State law does not allow a ‘hired’ gestational carrier. However, if your potential gestational carrier is a friend or relative and is not getting financial compensation, we can accommodate you; provided the carrier passes our screening.
