Dr. Christine Mullin joined the Northwell Health Fertility team after completing her subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the NYU Fertility Center of the New York University School of Medicine. She is now the Director of the IVF Program, Director of the PGD Program and Director of the Fertility Preservation Program at the Center.
Dr. Mullin graduated cum laude from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry where she was the recipient of the Robert Boova Medical Scholarship. She went on to receive her medical degree from University of Buffalo School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Ob/Gyn at Winthrop University Hospital where she received numerous surgical awards including AAGL- Recognition of Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures and the Ethicon Resident Surgical Lab Training Award.
During her fellowship training, Dr. Mullin pursued several areas of research including single embryo transfers, donor egg, clinical predictors in assisted reproductive technology, and early embryogenesis.
A study by Dr. Mullin found that single embryo transfer can help patients below the age of 40 can eliminate twinning without compromising their pregnancy rate if the embryos are available for day 5 cryo. Dr. Mullin is the recipient of numerous awards including the SMRU Traveling Scholars Award and the Berlex Foundation Faculty Development Research Award as well as authored several publications. Dr. Mullin has also given numerous presentations at national meetings on issues related to single embryo transfers, donor egg, and IVF stimulation protocols.
Dr. Mullin is double board certified in Ob/Gyn and Reproductive Endocrinology and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ob/Gyn at the North Shore University Hospital where she is active in resident and medical student education. She is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Endocrinology (ASRM), the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI) and the New York State Medical Society.
